Don Zimmer Hard Helmet 16X20

Don Zimmer Hard Helmet 16X20
Don Zimmer a.k.a. Popeye or Zim has done it all throughout his decades-spanning life in baseball. He played second base shortstop third base and catcher for the Dodgers Senators Reds Cubs and Mets. He managed the Padres Red Sox Rangers and Cubs. He noticed George Brett's bat in what became the infamous Pine Tar Game. He was in the dugout as Joe Torre's fiercely loyal bench coach as the New York Yankees won four World Series Championships. And of course he survived being hit in the ear and jaw by a Chuck Knoblauch foul ball during the 1999 playoffs an incident that resulted in him turning up in the dugout the next day wearing a military helmet with a Yankees logo on it. Today he is a senior adviser for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and still one of the most beloved guys in the game. Don Zimmer has hand signed this 16x20 copy of the famous photograph of him sporting a military helmet. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
